My parents are farmers. Four magical words. The farm opens up a whole world of fun. Forests, orchards, animals and proximity to great open and wild spaces. Tasmania has snow topped mountains, vast grassy plains and places of deep lush greenness. The farm is in one of the very green and wet places. High rainfall, cool summers and a wet sea breeze bring an abundance of moisture creating a rich verdant landscape and dense rain-forests. This year is different, with a drought about we have been praying for rain. The hay yield is down 60% because of a hot dry spring, a low hay yield means a hungry winter. When the weather turns like this, and we have another season of wild bush-fires climate change starts to seem very real. We want to to do everything we can to support the planet to find balance again. Lilliput Mountain is deeply committed to reducing our global footprint by seeking better and more sustainable ways of making our products, reducing our waste, our emissions and by living lightly on the land.
