rangers hut

from 12.00

Throughout the Central Highlands of Tasmania is a scattering of old rangers huts.  Our heroine has found an abandoned hut with a stone chimney and shingle roof.  Living so quietly the local wild animals have come in close. A currowong in the tree, an echidna in the button grass and a little pademelon stopping to scratch his nose. There is a book on our heroine’s lap and the wood stove is chugging along with a kettle heating up for morning coffee. I hope this picture helps you to remember to take the time to sit on your front porch, to watch the sky, see the trees in your neighbourhood get to know which birds pass by; because it is in those moments we are living the simple life. One lovely thing you can do that pleases the birds and the bees is to plant some flowering native plants in your garden :D

This is a print of, the original watercolour painting on cotton paper, and is available in four sizes; small (A5), medium (A4) large (A3) and Special Edition (A3plus). Each print is made from a high resolution image of the original painting and the image is as big as will fit comfortably with a border for framing.

All our prints are on archival papers and inks designed not to fade for 100+ years and are signed by the artist. Special Edition prints are our largest print measuring 13" x 19" inches and are made with museum quality cotton rag, which means that the entire print and packaging is tree free!

We provide free postage within Australia and New Zealand. We always endeavour to use 100% post consumer waste recycled paper and cardboard in our packaging.

Thank you for your interest in my art!  :D
