Medicine Woman

from 10.00

By journeys through the emotional underworld the healer’s heart has opened in loving compassion for all beings.

The healer has the benefit of sub specie aeternitatis (from the view point of that which is eternal) and as such she has a great sense of humour and doesn't take suffering too seriously.

The feathers on her breast plate and wrists mark the completion ofjourneys through the Dark Night of the soul. On each journey through the darkness the healer has returned bringing home understanding; compassion and wisdom.

The wolves teeth on a leather thread show the healer’s intimacy with death and her understanding that the cycles of life are a thread of commonality for us all.

The feathers on her helmet are symbolic of gifts given by the Divine Source in order to assist healing, and show that they have been willing accepted by the healer.

All gifts come with the responsibility that they are only to be used to love and to heal; the gifts shown here are clair-audience, clairvoyance and clair-sentience; which in regular terms are clear hearing, clear sight and clear feeling (which means to perceive information by a "feeling" within the whole body), and also clair-empathy which is to feel with clarity the emotional vibrations of others.

The helmet blends white and upwards, showing an open connection to the Divine Source. The helmet’s ears are pointed up and facing forward showing the healer’s willingness to hear truth without judgment or criticism of others.

The COSMOS shown at her throat states that the healer's voice box and throat chakra and energetic central channel have been opened. The healer’s wounds and karma around communication has been released and so the healer may now allow her voice to be the breath of God.

The red breastplate shows that the healer is still in a state of healing her tribal connections. The healer holds some of the old defences, but the breast plate is open and loosely woven, held on only by loose strings. The healer's heart is open, connected and is receptive to be an instrument of love.

The circlet at the forehead with a moonstone is a reminder to feel with the heart before looking to understand with the third eye.

The tattoos and body painting are marks from her various tribes and include marks of experience.

The “universe” hand is symbolic of the portals that exist at each chakra point. The palm chakra/portal is fully open affording us a glimpse into our infinite potential.

I painted this painting immediately following a deep conversation with Vonnie who is a wonderful intuitive healer.

The painting is unlike my other work. Because it seemed to come from a very different vibrational space. I wonder if this image helps to awaken the healer/medicine woman in each of us?

This is a print of an original gouache and ink painting on paper by Claire and is available in three sizes.  Small is on A5 paper,  medium is on A4 paper, large is printed on A3 paper, for each of my prints the image is large as can be on the page leaving a white border for framing.

All our prints are on archival papers and inks designed not to fade for 100+ years and are signed and dated by the artist.

We provide free postage within Australia and New Zealand. Our international postage cost is a flat $8AU.
